“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”
― Thomas Merton

In my teens, I dreamed of being an artist. My constant companion was my sketchbook and pencil. I experimented in drawing, sculpture, and painting - taking classes from nationally acclaimed artist Jean Woods.
Now that I am older, I am rediscovering myself through my art. It is incredibly satisfying to create something - to take an idea, give it life, and share it with others.
My desire to create is only surpassed by my desire to learn. To that end, I've taken classes from the Memphis College of Art, and local artists like Sue Foell and Marilyn Wannamaker. I'm proud to call portrait artist, Jamie McMahan - my mentor and friend.

While I appreciate everything from landscapes to abstracts, people have always been my passion and my favorite subject. Every week you'll find me in Artist Anne Enochs Paint from Life group.

I currently serve as the publicity chairperson for the Memphis Germantown Art League, keeper of the member directory for the Memphis Artist Link group, and I am a member of the Artist Group of Memphis and Plein Air Memphis.
